Odd, unusual, adventurous, or mysterious events: Ever had a close call or a narrow escape? Any ghost story? Has anything strange or unexplained happened to you?
Childhood memories: Your own memories, or perhaps stories your parents or grandparents told you?
Memorable people: Each of us knows someone who deserves to be remembered. Publishing part of their story, or a story of how you remember them in a book is an excellent way to honor them.
Or: Anything else you’d like to write about, as long as it’s true and isn’t harmful to anyone.
Future generations will thank you for sharing your memories.
The book your story will appear in is already made. The time it will take for you to have this book in your hands will be the time it takes me to draw your story, add it to a new private edition (or public: Your choice) of my Collector’s Edition book through my publisher’s software (Blurb.com).
Let these memory joggers remind you of some of the things you could write about:
- Firsts: First day of school, first love, first kiss, etc.
- Story about your best friend growing up, your best friend now, things you laugh about, a funny story you shared.
- Something special that happened to you and your parents, or you and a parent.
- A story about a special teacher, aunt, uncle, adult, etc who meant a lot to you.
- Touching, funny story about a special pet.
- Encounters with snakes, spiders or other “critters.”
- Tales parents and/or grandparents used to tell.
- Childhood pranks and mischief.
- Games and play dates.
- Sleepovers.
- Trips.
- Mysteries and sightings.
